QUANTUM CREATIVITY in SCIENCE and ART and Augmented Reality. – Paolo Manzelli
The “QUANTUM CREATIVITY” project in Quantum Science, Art and AR (Augmented Reality) communication technology”, raises the question of how to explore and renew the basic concepts of knowledge in the quantum era using interdisciplinary modalities.
Quantum Brain Theory advances our understanding of neurosciences to develop creative and conscious brain function, so that offering potentially enormous benefits to change the obsolete industrial society. This goal can be enriched through the quantum art and science cultural challenge that aim to improve the future knowledge society.
The rationale for this initiative is to provide an extension of quantum concepts, creating an innovative vision, adequate in promoting and producing “transformative research” of science and society ‘, focusing on the centrality’ of cognitive change in overall contemporary economic and cultural transformation. With this objective, the “Quantum Creativity” project / program aims to re-establish the relationships between the various scientific, humanistic and artistic disciplines, so that together they can engage in ‘direct reflection and study of prospects for the “extension of quantum knowledge” for the society of the third millennium, developing on the fundamental theme of” Quantum Brain Theory “(QBT).
At the root of QBT, is the belief that the reductionist logic of classical mechanisms, which still dominates the thinking of an obsolete ‘industrial society, have reached the end of their historical validity. This mentality, experienced since the 1600s with Isaac Newton, today degenerates into a false perception of an orderly predictable universe, whereas in fact the application of mechanistic conceptions obviously determines entropy and chaos in the environment, leading to its systematic destruction and risks our own safety and health and life on our planet itself.
The QBT proposes to overcome the arbitrary dichotomies arising from the absurd separation between “object and subject of perception.” In fact, due to this belief, when we try to explain how our brain works, we remain confined conceptually to unravel a maze with no exit, through the rigid categories of objective perception, leading to accept a series of dualisms such as those between mind and matter, between mind and body and between mind and brain, creating a unique reference a mechanical models of interpretation, more similarly associated with the operation of a computer and not our natural bio-neurological system. Therefore, with the motivation of returning contemporary thought to a vision more in line with the ‘evolution of current societal knowledge through the QBT, one can began to organize the “Quantum Creativity” project. The design is ‘based on an advanced concept of quantum science which includes entanglement and the quantum tunnelling agents in brain structure of communication, so that unlike the conceptuality ‘macroscopic classical view, the new modalities of QBT are characterized by vagueness and ambiguity, solvable in terms of probabilities ‘open to creativity’ – Therefore, the Quantum Creativity Project becomes able to outline the development of innovative alternatives.
The QBT allows us to understand that in fact perceived objective reality does not exist, just as our vision is the result of shapes and images and scenarios constructed by our brain neurologically, within quantum-molecular recognition and processing of probabilistic information. Consequently, the QBT can play a vital role in changing the perception of what we call reality, just as every cerebral sensation is the result of a bio-quantum simulation system, which allows us to know and anticipate the likelihood of interaction with the environment. (2). Therefore, the expected result of the project will be called Quantum Creativity to finally liberate scientific imagination and creative art from old mechanical concepts, so that you can enhance and consciously remodel our understanding, in order to create a society that is more open and intelligent with concerns to sustainability of the environment, improvement of life and the biodiversity on our planet.
In this context, the Quantum Creativity Project aims to outline the prospects for increasing activity and awareness of brain functions, using different modalities of interpretation (e.g. Quantum physics, information and digital technologies AR, and also from different points of view, neurological, behavioural, social, epistemological, as well as ‘innovative expression of’ quantum contemporary art. (3).
The Quantum Creativity Project, sponsored since 2014 by EGOCREANET (NGOs R & D), wants to develop an international initiative for the development of creativity in exploring the possibility’ of creating a new trans-disciplinary knowledge base, closely related to design of future communication technologies in Augmented Reality. (4)
EGOCREANET is convinced on the basis of these conceptions and motivations and considers it necessary to immediately initiate a strategy of support for scientists and artists (stakeholders clustering strategy) to advance sharing of the profound change in the scientific and cultural spheres, able to bring together intellectual and technological ideas and perspectives that initiate from different points of view, leading towards a common goal of change.
Through the broad sharing of ideas among multidisciplinary partners, one could begin to understand how the aims of Quantum Creativity can effectively overcome every aspect of traditional culture, specifically the concept of reductionist “mechanics” of science that sees the brain as a passive receiver of information without elaboration and a conscious evolutionary development for a shared and interactive consciousness. (5), (6)
The project addresses the topic of Quantum Creativity, based mainly on an open reflection and coordination of scientific results recently obtained by development of science based in “Quantum Entanglement” and applied to technological developments of new materials – such as graphene – or applications and technological simulations, where quantum science interfaces with biology, genetics and neurology. (7), (8). (9).
In practice, those who join the Quantum Creativity project predispose themselves to participate in a forthcoming call in Horizon2020 on Future & Emerging Technologies (FET), a European program that invests in frontier research in innovation, with a high potential impact on technology and economic and social development.
Moreover, continuing the initiative promoted by EGOCREANET starting from 2012, which gave rise to the Community Arts & Quantum Science project, a conference will be held in the Florence Exhibition centre in May 2015, which will also contain a section dedicated to the Consensus Meeting of international partners for the Horizon-FET-3-2015 Project.
Finally, the Quantum Creativity project is closely associated with the growth in the movement of’ quantum art community, whose research and development finds its original emphatic expression in turning quantum concepts into tactile and visual representations of music, the beauty of which consists essentially in understand how much there is still hidden in the nature of perception and its way of working artistically in relation to social and economic progress as an extension of quantum culture. A strong impetus to the development of the Quantum Creativity project will be ‘entrusted in making a CULTURE OF INCREASED IMPACT, with the specific aim of technological development and undertaking of non-conventional communication in Augmented Reality.
