PROMOTION OF FUNCTIONAL AQUA-FEED FUTURE

EGOCREANET .INFO. on BLUE BIO-TECHNOLOGY PROMOTION OF FUNCTIONAL AQUA-FEED FUTURE

The blue-bioeconomy innovation growth is becoming a world challenge which includes most of the key enabling eco-technologies and functional fish feed innovation for improving aqua- and mari- culture Egocreanet woud actively preparing such blue bioeconomy   innovation  to effectively support the development of European fish-food SMEs by promoting the participation to the call H-BG-08/2017.  (dead line  14 Feb 2017).

In particular in that context Egocreanet would promote  Research & Innovation and Developments in “algal biotechnology” throght  equiping a European network  on Marine- and Aquaculure industry with multidisciplinary  specialist’s  knowledge to optimise current and future challenges in the field of fish-feed optimization. Search For Partners – Issue:INNOVATIVE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS for IMPROVING SAFETY and DIETARY PROPERTIES of SEAFOOD. (in achronim “EFFFD”)
Outlook: : In the world today almost half of the fish and seafood comes from aquaculture ,  this trend has been increasing the fishfood market but also to deal with the preservation of species at risk of extinction. With stagnating yields from capture fisheries and increasing demand for aquatic products, expectations for aquaculture is to increase its contribution to the world’s production of sea-foods are very high, and there is also hope that aquaculture will continue to strengthen its role in contributing to support human health and sustainable food supply.  Decisive therefore will  be to develop eco-economic criteria for a sustainable solutions of  improving safety and dietary properties of seafood and suited to varius fish species in order to improve the nutraceutical properties of the fish-feed and health and to ensure both human nutrition and animal needs and welfare.
The project, proposed by Egocreanet, on the theme (Eco-innovative, Fish Food/Feed nutrient diets  in acronim “EFFFD”) would  compete to the world wide challenge on both nutritional and environmental aspects of aquaculture products to develop European innovative, sustainable and secure acquaculture solutions, since sea food production has to become nearly double in the next decade in order to meet the increasing seafood safery of market demand.                                                                                   Goals :
The project EFFFD has to develop a transdisciplinary community of research based on  (agronomists, biologists, veterinarians, aquaculture esperts, nutritionists, researchers in nutrigenomics of the market sociology fish etc ..)  and European  fish anf fish feed industry working together towards a mutual goal of ensuring eco-innovation solutions for developing a healthy, safe and sustainable aquaculture system aiming  to generate new knowledge to develop commercial solutions of high quality and safety on the basis on  :
    Better understanding and managing the effects of aquaculture on the environment and viceversa  optimizing  the advanced knowledge  on  managing  the effects of climate change  on aquaculture
    Identifying novel fish feed ingredients and optimizing their use as feed raw materials to  improve innovative and sustainable nutritional fishfeed solutions for the aquaculture industry using microalgae and other sources of proteins as derived from selected insects, aiming to optimize the funtional properties of fishfood.
    Breeding and genetics selection approaches for fish nutrition and welfare
    Develop a better understanding on fish metabolism, physiology and intestinal microflora to develop new products in aquaculture diets.
    Novel and innovative ideas to give breakthrough anf forecasts of the Future of Aquafish-feeds including the goal to reduce risks to animal and human health and thus increase EU consumer’s confidence in making better choices on  seafood  healthy diets.
